John and Gail Cooper of Fremont are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Christine Susan to Christopher Eric Swanson, son of Roger and Doris Swanson of Canton.

Christine is a 1996 graduate of Fremont High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education, with endorsements in Elementary Education and Emotional Impairment, from Eastern Michigan University. She has a master’s degree in Library and Information Science, with an endorsement in School Media, from Wayne State University. Christine is employed as a special education teacher at the Waterford Day Treatment Center in Waterford.

Christopher received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting Information Systems, from Eastern Michigan University. He is employed as a long-range energy analyst for DTE Energy.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on May 3, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth.
