Douglas and Lou Ann Johnson of Fremont are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Elisabeth Johnson to Shane William Jewell, son of David and Shirley Jewell of Barryton.

Katie and Shane are both recent graduates from Spring Arbor University, majoring in Music Education and Spanish/ Missions, respectively.

A Feb. 7, 2009 wedding is being planned.
