Paul M. Boeskool
(December 1, 1924 - December 8, 2007)
Paul M. Boeskool, 83, of Fremont, passed away late Saturday evening, Dec. 8, 2007 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1924 in Fremont to Albert and Grace (Maat) Boeskool and graduated from Fremont High School in 1943. He was in the US Navy for two and a half years during World War II, where he served in the South Pacific. He had been employed as a custodian for Fremont Public Schools for 34 years until his retirement in 1986, and he was a member of Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont where he had served as an elder and a deacon.
On Nov. 18, 1949 he married Willetta J. “Willie” Borgman and she survives him along with two children, Tim (Joni) Boeskool of Fremont and Vicki (Jack) Orange of Kentwood; four grandchildren, Scott and Rachael Orange, Yvonne and Gina Boeskool; a sister, Irene Busch of Fremont; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bernadine “Bernie” Boeskool of Fremont, Harold (Genny) Borgman of Fremont, Gladys (John) Kleyn of Coopersville, Alma Bouwman of Coopersville, and Marlene (Ken) Busman of Coopersville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis, Donald, and Elmer Boeskool; brothers-in-law, Harold Busch and Gerald Bouwman; and sisters-in-law, Kathryn “Katy” Boeskool and Dorothy Borgman.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Second Christian Reformed Church in Fremont, with Pastor Ron Fynewever officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Suggested memorials are Fremont Christian School or Second Christian Reformed Church.
