Carole Y. (Speet) Poel

Carole Y. Poel, 72, of Holland, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth.

Carole was born May 14, 1936 in Fremont, to John and Hannah (Heetderks) Speet. She was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church in Holland.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bruce; children, Brenda and Rick Crisp of Holland and Brian and Julie Poel of Jenison; six grandchildren; her sisters, Fonda Deur of Grand Rapids and Marilyn and Joseph Baillargeon of Charlevoix; a sister-in-law, Jean and Don Scott of Caledonia; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Friday at Fellowship Reformed Church, with Rev. James Baar officiating. Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery.
