WARREN JOHNSON

(October 17, 1934 - April 15, 2008)

Warren W. Johnson, 73, of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Middlesex Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Sue K. (Kapp) Johnson.

He was born in Oak Park, Illinois on Oct. 17, 1934, the son of Victor and Phyllis Johnson (deceased). He graduated from Fremont High School in 1952. Warren was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Sales Executive from the Arrow Shirt Company in New York after 35 years. Warren belonged to the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was an avid golfer, gardener and very proud of his wine collection.

Warren was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed.

Besides his wife, Warren is survived by a son, Kurt V. Johnson and his wife Karen of Groton, Massachusetts; and a daughter, Kristen K. Johnson of New York, two brothers, James and Charles Johnson of Michigan; and two grandchildren, Connor and Kellie Johnson.

A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, April 21 at St. Marks Church in Westbrook. Interment with military honors followed at Riverside Cemetery in Old Saybrook.
