Robert A. Wisner Jr.
(January 11, 1966 - November 26, 2008)
Robert A. Wisner Jr., 42, of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at his home.
Rob was born on Jan. 11, 1966 in Fremont to Robert Arthur and Carole Ann (Wauchope) Wisner Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the Fremont and Newaygo areas. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1984 and was a very talent ed, self-employed auto body technician. Rob’s fascina tion with cars began early in his life when he worked on VW’s with his two brothers. He was known as someone who could fix anything and would often go out of his way to help out a friend or a stranger in need of his talents. And, he was always willing to help his sisters with home improvement projects that required extra muscle (especially if it was a “Wisner Family Working Vacation” that involved travel!) He was predeceased by his dad and missed him terribly.
Rob is survived by his heartbroken mother and step-father, Carole (Donald) Blair of Newaygo; his loving sisters and brothers, Gina (Steve) Case of Henderson, Nevada, John (Autumn) Wisner of Raleigh, North Carolina, Collin Wisner (special friend Julie) of Newaygo, and Rachel Wisner (Luc Simard) of Newaygo; his nephew, Matt Wisner; his beloved nieces, Danielle Wisner and Morgane Simard; step-brothers and step-sisters, Susan (David) Johnson, Rick (Ruth) Blair, Judy (Richard) Jennings, David Blair, and Sandra Blair; his aunts, Patricia Thomas of Grand Rapids and Esther Krantz of Alabama; an uncle, Eugene Wisner of Croton; a great-uncle, George (Esther) Stachowiak of Spring Lake; and many cousins and friends.
Funeral memorial mass services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo, with a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Friends are asked to please consider memorial contri butions in lieu of flowers to St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Foundation or ALANO Club of Newaygo. The Wisner Family would love shared memories at www.crandellfh.com. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
