Melissa Holmes and Allan Yaklin were united in marriage on June 16, 2007 at St. Michaels in Brunswick, with Father Michael Alber officiating the ceremony. A reception was held at the Moss Ridge Golf Club and Banquet Center, and the couple honeymooned in Fiji.

Attending the bride was Michelle Holmes as Maid of Honor, and bridesmaids Sarah Torok, and Bethanie Yaklin. Kelsey Somers was the flowergirl. Owen Yaklin was the Best Man, and groomsmen were Blayde Jungels and John Hughes. Tyler Holmes was the ringbearer. Nicholas Weaver was the usher.

Melissa is the daughter of Fred and Ruth Holmes of Fremont. She received a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University, and is currently employed by Sandia National Laboratories.

Allan is the son of Charles and Margo Yaklin of New Lothrop. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, and is now employed by Sandia National Laboratories.

The couple now reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
