Fremont alumnae meet in South Carolina

A group of Fremont Public School alumnae met recently in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina at the home of Joni and Larry Boerman. The group has been meeting periodically for 60 years since they were classmates through grade school and high school.

The group included (left to right) Linda Weisner Maranis, Beverly Tanis Miller Williams, Joanne Bultman Boerman, Carol Speet Poel, Mary Ellen Collins Patterson Happel, Kathy Wisneer Rich, Lois Jibson Fitzgerald Phillips and Lois Butterfeld Hommerson. They enjoyed sight-seeing, dining, kayaking and plenty of conversation. They also toured Beaufort, Savannah and The Whooping Crane Pond Conservancy and saw egrets, eagles and dolphins.
